If outside of the United States
Was the child adopted?
Was the child previously baptized?
Such as an emergency baptism in the hospital, etc.

Are the parents married?
Is this the couple's first child?
If not, were any of your other children baptized in the Catholic Church?
Will this baptism be celebrated by a priest or deacon from another parish?
Will either godparent be represented by a proxy?
If the godparent can’t physically be at the ceremony, someone else can stand in their place.
