Summer Seminarian

We are pleased to announce that Archbishop Coyne has assigned our parish a seminarian for the summer! Please join us in welcoming Anthony Caruso, who will stay with us until early August. You can read more about Anthony below!

My name is Anthony Caruso, and I am from Wallingford. I graduated from Holy Trinity School in Wallingford in 2015 and Xavier High School in Middletown in 2019, after which I entered seminary for the Archdiocese of Hartford. I received my undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Classics from Providence College while receiving priestly formation at Our Lady of Providence Seminary. Afterward, I spent a year as a middle school religion teacher at St. Mary-St. Michael School in Derby before continuing seminary at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. I’m entering my third theology year of seminary, so I anticipate ordination to the diaconate in 2027 and priesthood in 2028. I enjoy weightlifting, traveling, and reading. It is a privilege to be with you all for the summer, and I look forward to getting to know all of you! Let us pray for one another.
